What is the 1eat discount club?
It is a food discount club. As of now, most of our restaurants are in the Greater London area, but we are expanding in other towns as well.
What is the 1eat card?
It is a card given to all of our active members. It allows them to redeem discounts in restaurants which are signed up to the scheme. Discounts adhere to those advertised on the site.
Who is an active member?
Everyone who has paid the yearly membership fee into one of our partner societies or bought it over the internet on our website.
How much can I expect to save?
There is no limit. The more you eat out the more you save. If you eat out with your friends you will save them money too - one of you has to have
the card for all of you to get discounts on a night out. On average you can expect to save £10 per person in a 50% off restaurant and £5 per person in a 20% off restaurant.
How do I use the card?
Very simple! Show the card to the waiter as you order the food. Keep in mind that some restaurants might require an earlier pre-booking, so let them know beforehand. You will quickly learn as you use it, but we do recommend checking on the website to avoid disappointments.
Can I pick anything from the menu?
In most restaurants yes, although some have placed restrictions on the discounted items. Search for your favourite restaurant on our website for
more info.
Can I dine at any time?
Yes, but some restaurants have placed restrictions on the hours and/or days. Check our website for more info.
Are there enough restaurants?
If you live/spend time in central London, then definitely YES! We are also adding new ones every week.
My membership (stated on the card) is valid until 12/10. Does that mean it expires on the first or the last day of the month?
Your membership and thus your card expire on the last day of the month it is valid until.
How do I renew my expired membership?
You can buy a new subscription from our website or partner societies. We will send you your shiny new card and you can then recycle the old and dusty one.
I have a restaurant and I would like to join the 1eat scheme. How do I do that?

Lovely, so now I have my card. What if the restaurant refuses to give me the advertised discount?
If there are any problems please contact us by following this link. We will then contact the restaurant, referencing the incident, and investigate the reasons.We reserve the rights to remove restaurants which abuse our terms and conditions without any warning. We cannot offer any refounds for such incidents.
Who are you guys?
We are students, from Imperial College London, LSE and Warwick University. As most people enjoy discounts in various places, we've come up with this scheme to make eating out cheaper and easier. By the way, we are all volunteers.
