Frequently asked questions.

What is the 1eat Student Discount Card?

It's a card given to all of our active student members. It allows them to redeem discounts in restaurants which are signed up to the scheme. Discounts are only valid for takeaway and/or eating in.

Who is an active student member?

A student who has paid the yearly membership fee into one of our partner societies or bought it over the internet on our website.

How do I use the card?

Very simple! Show the card to the waiter as you order the food. However some restaurants might require an earlier pre-booking. You will quickly learn as you use it, but we do recommend checking on the website to avoid disappointments.

My card is valid until 12/09. Does that mean it expires on the first or the last day of the month?

Your card expires on the last day of the month it is valid until.

How do I renew my expired card?

You can simply order a new one and recycle the old one.

How do I become a participating restaurant?

If you are interested in joining 1eat and bring more students to your premises then click here.

What if the restaurant refuses to honour the discount?

If there are any problems please contact us by following this link. We will then contact the restaurant, referencing the incident, and investigate the reasons. We reserve the rights to remove restaurants which abuse our terms and conditions without any warning. We cannot offer any refounds for such incidents.

Who are you guys?

We are students, like you, from Imperial College London, LSE and Warwick University. As most, if not all, students enjoy discounts in various places, we've come up with this scheme to make eating out cheaper and easier.

How can I join the 1eat.co.uk team?

Send us an e-mail with your cv and a letter of motivation and we will get back to you.
